This historic house was originally constructed in the late 1800's. The house was sold over the intervening years even one time serving as a doctor’s office. The current homeowner had actually grown up in the house as a child.
The homeowner’s desire was to bring back the house to its original historic condition as she had once remembered it, but with a twist, she wanted to blend the historic exterior with a contemporary interior, while integrating some of the original historic interior features such as the original kitchen cabinets.
The porch handrails were old and dated pickets that were not original to the structure. We were able to locate a very small historic section of the handrails designed specific to the house. We replicated in design and reproduced the beautiful scalloped handrails that you see below.
